The Weekly Grind: Turn One Spice Blend into 5 Delicious Meals

The Weekly Grind Newsletter

Hello Reader,

Last week we shared our Homemade Greek Seasoning Blend, and this week we’re showing just how versatile this pantry staple can be. A simple homemade blend can transform everyday meals—and once you start using it, you’ll want to keep a jar stocked at all times.

This week’s recipes all build on that same flavorful base, making it easy to create multiple dishes without starting from scratch.

Recipe Feature: Creamy Greek Salad Dressing (Our Mamais Sauce Version)

Our first recipe is Creamy Greek Salad Dressing, inspired by the famous Mamais sauce. If you’ve ever ordered it from Western Pizza, you know how good it is. The best part? Making it at home is incredibly simple—and much cheaper.

This dressing is creamy, tangy, and packed with the bold flavors from our homemade Greek seasoning blend.

It’s perfect for:

  • Classic Greek salads
  • Spinach & feta pizza (use it as the base!)
  • Snack cups with fresh veggies
  • Grain and power bowls
  • A dipping sauce for souvlaki

Recipe Feature: Farmstead Souvlaki

Speaking of dipping sauce… our next recipe is Souvlaki, and yes—the star ingredient is again our homemade Greek seasoning blend.

Farmstead Update

We’re excited to share that the freeze-dryer is back up and running!

Right now we’re freeze-drying cubed sourdough bread, which will be used in our upcoming Sourdough Stuffing Kits.

These kits will be available for our local customers and are arriving just in time for Easter meals. They’re a simple way to add homemade flavor to your holiday table.

Try one of the recipes this week and tell us how you use your Greek seasoning blend! We would love to hear all about it.

Happy Cooking!
